DARK MITAST was not formed in a garage.
It was formed in the aftermath.
Born from grief, transformation, and the quiet collapse of the world people thought they understood, DARK MITAST emerged from the shadows of the Revelation Era with a sound that blends gothic rock, dark folk, blues, cinematic metal, and ritual atmosphere into something both haunting and deeply human.
Fronted by vocalist Neveah Blackwood and blues-driven vocalist/guitarist Silas Vale, the band’s music explores themes of loss, memory, awakening, survival, love, death, and the unseen forces that linger beneath reality itself.
Their debut album, Under The Root, became synonymous with the “post-revelation generation” — a generation struggling to process a world forever changed.
Fans describe DARK MITAST performances as:
“less like concerts… and more like rituals.”
With songs ranging from cosmic grief ballads like Into The Hollow to transformation anthems like The Fire Made Me and haunting revelation hymns like Watchers In The Pines, DARK MITAST exists somewhere between music, myth, and memory.
Some believe their songs predicted the awakening.
Others believe they simply gave sorrow a voice.
Either way, the forest is listening.
And the watchers are still there.
